A little background

This blog has been a LONG time coming… here’s a little background on how it came to be!

I graduated from Keene State College in May, 2013 with a BS in Business Management, after I graduated I moved home to my parents house on Cape Cod for the summer.

I spent that summer working at a boutique on Main Street in Chatham (Sundance Clothing), catching up with old friends, clocking hours on the beach, & applying for jobs in Boston.

I knew all throughout college that after I graduated I wanted to move to Boston. However, living on the Cape & applying to jobs in Boston turned out be more difficult that I thought, employers thought that hiring me was too risky because I didn’t have a permanent address in the city yet. So, in a leap of faith, and with a few pennies saved, my parents helped me move into an apartment in Boston with some friends from college. That first apartment was far from my dream place, but it did what it needed to do and I was able to get that job in the city. A job which would eventually allow me to go to events with view like this one….

I started at my first “big girl job” in September, 2013. 4 years & 2 promotions later, I still LOVE my job and feel so lucky to have stumbled upon something that I enjoy doing everyday. Although I love my job, it does not give me a place to cultivate creativity, which is something that I’ve been searching for these last 4 years.

Back in 2013 when I first moved to Boston I started a blog, but never got it off the ground. It just wasn’t the right time and I couldn’t put enough into it to make it what I wanted. Now that life has settled down a bit, I can finally put in the time & energy that a blog needs.

This is truly a passion project. I want to use this as a space to channel my love of fashion, shopping, make up, skin care, home interiors, healthy eating, exercise, and all my adventures in between.

I’m so excited & I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it!
